About our base mixes
MILK PROTEIN: The first base mix made available and a proven catcher since the early 80's. Our milk protein base mix contains a time proven blend of milk proteins that are highly digestible along with being highly soluble in all water temperatures. This versatility enables the milk protein base mix to be used with virtually any combination of flavour or colour, not to mention additive ingredients, all year long in all seasons.
FOR: all year round use.
COLOUR: neutral when rolled with just eggs.
SWEET BIRDSEED: Our 60/40 birdseed base mix has excellent high leakage ability, ideal for cold conditions with a proven ability in weedy, choked water to attract fish from their hiding places. Used in summer, birdseed baits are even more effective due to their high leakage properties, accounting for many big carp in the UK and across Europe. We use a select blend of 10 different crushed birdseed in out birdseed base mix, which is carefully monitored for consistency over time, ensuring product quality and catch rates are always kept consistent.

BIG FISH MEAL: Our kelp, shrimp, and blended fish meal's, are superb attractors in their own right. However, this is not always enough, the carp has to enjoy its new food source and prefer it to the more natural substitutes. With this in mind, great care has been taken to gather information on the food in the carps own environment and these natural extracts have to be blended or replicated, especially on waters that have been heavily baited with fish meal's.

COLOUR: light brown & speckled when rolled with just eggs.
GREEN LIP MUSSEL: Included in a boilie, Green Lip Mussel makes a tremendous bait. It will revitalize a carps taste buds when introduced and it has the ability to induce more intense feeding and overcoming in most cases shyness to boilies: often fish will be taken within the first few hours of being introduced to a water. Results from using these baits show that even on the hardest water carp respond immediately to this product.

CHOPPED NUT: Packed with our own custom blend of a variety of chopped nuts, the chopped nut base mix is fantastic for winter carping and all years round use. Having a strong resistance to absorbing lake bed smells along with high leakage of nutrients and attractants and high digestibility, the chopped nut base mix is a fantastic all round base mix for you to work off and build into something unique.

COCONUT PROTEIN: Coconut has long been a proven and consistent carp catcher when added to boilies and boilie base mixes due to its huge attractant signals natural coconut gives off to carp, along with its high digestibility in all temperatures. Having used coconut meals in its boilies for decades, StarmerBaits decided to offer a neutral base mix for home rolling to the public, letting you tinker, modify & add to this most excellent of carp catchers.
